About the role

The manager is responsible for each and every employee in the department of nursing. The manager provides leadership and mentoring for the nursing team throughout the hospital. The manager is ultimately responsible for staffing, patient and employee safety, policies and procedures and the day to day operations of the everyday practices at the Baptist Health regional facilities. The manager will oversee quality throughout the hospital. The manager serves as a joint commission/CMS resource for the hospital and is responsible to know and distribute education about joint commission and CMS standards. The manager maintains a positive relationship with physicians in order to work through and resolve with them any issues that arise. The manager assists in keeping the hospital finances within budget and works strategically to strive for exceeding the budgetary goals, the Quality goals, and to meet Productivity targets and improve the patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and mentoring for the nursing team throughout the hospital.
  • Oversees staffing, patient and employee safety, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a joint commission/CMS resource for the hospital.

Requirements

  • A Registered Nurse, holding an unencumbered license, in good standing with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required within 2 years of accepting the job role.
  • MSN preferred.
  • Evidence of progressive management experience with a minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
