Associate Director, Neuromuscular, US Patient Advocacy

For our client, we are seeking a Associate Director, Neuromuscular, US Patient Advocacy to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will shape and execute patient advocacy efforts across the U.S., with a focus on neuromuscular and rare disease communities. The position will build trusted relationships with patient organizations, translate patient and caregiver insights into action, and partner cross-functionally to support business priorities and launch planning. It will also help ensure educational resources, policy awareness, and stakeholder engagement strengthen the organization’s broader strategy. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $126,000 – $234,000 annually Responsibilities Build and maintain strategic relationships with patient organizations Identify and drive partnerships to educate and mobilize patients Execute patient advocacy strategies aligned with business priorities Ensure insights from patients and caregivers influence corporate strategy Monitor policy issues impacting operations and drive initiatives Develop AI-enabled educational resources for patients and caregivers Manage budget effectively to maximize agency ROI Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 8+ years of experience in patient advocacy or a related discipline, preferably in neuromuscular and rare disease areas 1-2 years of industry patient advocacy experience Proven ability to build relationships with patient organizations and stakeholders Experience with commercial launch and integrated project planning Benefits Comprehensive health, life and disability benefits 401(k) plan with company contributions and match Generous time-off package including vacation and personal days Performance-based cash incentives Potential eligibility for annual equity awards Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
