Associate Director, Inventory & Capital Management
About the role
This role sits within the ISC Finance organization and serves as a senior finance business partner to Supply Chain, Operations, and Strategy leadership.
Responsibilities
Leading capital allocation strategy and investment governance across ISCDriving inventory performance optimization and working capital improvement initiativesServing as a trusted finance partner to Strategy and Operations leadershipProviding data-driven insights to support long-term decision-making and transformation initiatives
Capital Management & Governance
Lead end-to-end capital planning and allocation processes, including AOP and LRPApply capital approval frameworks to ensure alignment with ROI, IRR, and strategic prioritiesMonitor capital project execution, tracking spend against approved business cases and benefits realizationPartner with Operations and Engineering teams to:
- Evaluate investment proposalsValidate business cases and financial assumptions
- Prioritize capital deployment across regions and plants
Drive transparency through reporting on capital utilization, returns, and key risks
Inventory Management
Partner with Supply Chain and Plant leadership to:
- Identify and execute inventory reduction opportunitiesStrengthen demand and supply alignment and improve inventory planning disciplineProvide financial oversight across:
- Actual monthly inventory performanceInventory projections, including physical and financial viewsSlow-moving and obsolete inventory actionsDeep-dive analyses to identify key drivers and performance trendsSupport transformation initiatives to strengthen end-to-end inventory visibility and controls
Strategy Management
Act as the finance lead for strategic initiatives across ISC, including footprint optimization, sourcing shifts, and network redesignProvide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support:
- Long-term strategy developmentInvestment prioritization and resource allocationSupport executive-level reviews with clear insights on value creation, risk, and trade-offs
Ensure strong financial controls and compliance across capital and inventory management processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 12–15+ years of relevant experience, preferably in:ISC and Supply Chain FinanceCapital investment analysis and governanceInventory and working capital management
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of:Financial modeling and business case evaluationInventory accounting and supply chain financial driversERP systems (e.g., JDE)
Skills
- Strategic thinking with strong business acumenAdvanced financial modeling and analytical capabilityStrong stakeholder management and executive communicationAbility to translate complex financial data into actionable insightsHigh ownership mindset with focus on results and value creation
Benefits
At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160 to $200,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
