Associate Director, Indirect Strategic Sourcing
About the role
This position is responsible for $100M+ Indirect spend and all activities relative to adequate sourcing of Repligen’s goods and services. It supports the entire Source to Contract process, including Sourcing engagements and provides core expertise for Contracting, Negotiation, Benchmarking, Supplier Performance Management, Financial Management, Relationship Management, and Risk Management lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the development of strategies, processes, and talent to ensure the robustness of sourced materials and services and their timely procurement while fostering supplier partnerships that result in win-win total landed cost improvements.
- Support the Sourcing lifecycle (Source to Contract) from stakeholder requirement definition, sourcing, competitive bidding and executing contracts.
- Prepare, issue, and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
- Evaluate responses to ensure they meet Repligen’s requirements and standards.
- Contribute to the supplier selection process by conducting comprehensive cost-benefit analyses, evaluating supplier proposals based on multiple criteria, and presenting recommendations to senior management.
- Negotiate agreements with delegated suppliers to promote guaranteed cost reductions through productivity improvements and reducing non-value elements in agreements.
- Develop sourcing processes to organize and analyze spend data.
- Lead and track procurement performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
Must have experience with Indirect spend categories, such as Logistics, IT / Software, and Professional Business Services. Requires a B.S. degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management/operations, and 10+ years of business experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management/operations.
- Experience in life sciences industry preferred.

- Understanding of the true total cost of ownership impact of decisions and ability to build clear business cases to support the collective efforts required to achieve sourcing savings.

Pay
The estimated salary range for this role, based in the United States of America, is $165,000-$190,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
