Associate Director, Global EHS Audit and Knowledge Management
Responsibilities
Provide vision and oversight for the Global EHS auditing program which consists of varying audit types such as comprehensive compliance EHS audits, focused audits, management system audits, and certification audits.
Identify key risks and plan audits accordingly to address those risks.
Plan, manage, execute, and report audit results.
Oversee and execute Global EHS documents in the document management system (Veeva) which consists of the EHSMS system standards that are implemented across the enterprise. This includes, but is not limited to, developing new documents and maintaining existing documents and ensuring effective communications.
Develop and implement global EHS training that aligns with programs/procedures and promotes understanding and retention of concepts. This includes, but is not limited to, developing new training and maintaining existing training, content development and delivery, and interaction with cross functional teams.
Summarize and report compliance status, strengths and priority issues, and recommendations for various levels of management and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
Think strategically and ensure deliverables are aligned with broader organization and create awareness of this direction with affected team members/business functions.
Visualize beyond short-term deliverables and expectations; monitor trends and practices external to the EHS organization (both inside and outside of company) and facilitate continuous improvements that have long-term value.
Lead and/or participate on cross functional teams to represent EHS objectives related to the subject matter and to meet the team’s overall strategic objectives and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (EHS related, Engineering) plus 10+ years of EHS related experience or Master’s Degree (EHS related, Engineering) plus 8-10 years of EHS related experience. EHS professional certification is preferred.
- Experience: Experience with EHS management systems, experience with analytical tools and techniques to detect compliance risk, proven experience collaborating to drive solutions which are compliant, and value added.
- Special Training or Competence: Experience with analytical tools and techniques to detect compliance risk, proven experience in EHS management and training design and delivery, extensive knowledge and skill in applying auditing principles and practices.
