Description Summary

The Global Advisor Portfolio Manager provides analytical, portfolio management, underwriting, and compliance management support within the Global Specialty Products Team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively evaluates and mitigates associated business risks and opportunities, adhering to Huntington policies, procedures, and Guiding Principles.
  • Owns primary responsibility for the credit and monitoring of Commercial portfolio risks.
  • Completes country risk analysis for assigned geographies, develops limit recommendations, and presents to approval authorities.
  • Builds productive relationships with business units to responsibly and preemptively address country limit increases/adjustments.
  • Validates division’s exposures to regulatory reporting on a quarterly basis; aggregates country exposures across the Commercial Bank and presents to country risk committee.
  • Monitors market conditions in assigned geographies and provides updates when appropriate to Division Management and approval/oversight authorities as requested.
  • Underwrites and presents credit limits for global insurance companies to approval authorities for use by Global Specialty Products. Monitors commercial portfolio risks, including credit underwriting, portfolio management, portfolio administration, and ongoing credit monitoring.
  • Maintains frequent contact with Trade Operations, AML/BSA, Credit, and other key partners to stay current on internal requirements and trends.
  • Works directly with Team Leaders, Relationship Managers, Regional Credit Officer, Credit Review, and Segment Risk across the commercial bank.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years underwriting experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in underwriting global insurance companies and Commercial credits, particularly Mid to Large Corporates.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience with country risk underwriting.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Ability to effectively work on a multi-locale team.

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
