Job Summary
As the Associate Director of Food & Nutrition Services, you will help lead the successful operation of foodservice within a busy acute-care hospital. You will support patient dining, retail and cafeteria operations, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and other hospital-related services. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, improving operations, and continually finding better ways to serve patients, guests, and hospital partners.
Responsibilities
- Help lead daily Food & Nutrition Services operations
- Ensure excellent service and satisfaction for patients, guests, and the hospital client
- Support patient dining, retail, cafeteria, and catering operations
- Manage safety, sanitation, infection-control, and maintenance programs
- Assist with budgets, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory
- Build strong relationships with hospital leadership and other departments
- Coach, develop, and motivate the foodservice team
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and the overall customer experience
- Help integrate Food & Nutrition Services into the hospital's overall plan of operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Foodservice Management or a related field, or an associate degree with three years of directly related experience
- Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian preferred
- One to three years of hospital, senior-living, or related healthcare experience, depending on education and training
- Three to five years of foodservice operations management experience
- Experience with purchasing, inventory, budgets, and cost controls
- Strong knowledge of food quality, production, sanitation, catering trends, and presentation
- Previous P&L accountability or contract foodservice experience is preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial and analytical abilities
- Proficient computer skills
- ServSafe certification
Pay
$85,000 - $95,000
