Associate Director, Financial Reporting & Controls

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement efficient common corporate accounting processes for USMS BI in coordination with peers
• Supervise the month end general ledger close process
• Coordinate monthly financial reporting to Publicis
• Support the USMS BI Controller and VP of Financial Reporting and Controls in shaping, organizing, and managing the Financial Reporting and Controls team
• Provide assurance that the general ledger is in compliance with GAAP and Publicis Corporate Policies (JANUS)
• Lead external E&Y audits for Year-End, hard closes, and revenue testing
• Aid in Publicis Internal audits
• Assist with Financial Monitoring Controls, Test of Control, and Walk-Through audits
• Ensure accurate intercompany A/R and Payables processing
• Evaluate team processes for further efficiencies, standardizations, and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• 10+ years relevant work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Word
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Professionalism when addressing issues and problems involving various people
• Quick learning ability in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for driving reengineering throughout Finance
• Process-oriented thinking; identify process efficiencies
