This position is onsite in East Hartford, CT, and requires U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

About the Role

The F135 Program Digital Solutions (PDS) team has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, F135 PDS Product Manager. In this role, you will lead a portfolio of agile teams who develop, demonstrate, and own digital solutions for the F135 Program. You will provide strategic and tactical direction to execute the F135 Digital Roadmap, decompose team objectives, and foster a positive team culture aligned with Pratt & Whitney values, the CORE Operating System, and the Leadership Operating Model. You will also serve as the supervisor of record for the Product Owners of the agile teams in the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Set strategic and tactical direction and priority for the F135 PDS agile teams in alignment with PW & RTX’s Enterprise Architecture, ensuring all solutions align with F135 Program business goals.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new processes, policies, standards, or operating plans in support of strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, other agile teams, stakeholders, and across ME and CE programs to refine scope, requirements, and deliverables to drive compliance with RTX guidelines for authorized solution deployment (Architecture Review Board (ARB), Authority to Operate (ATO), CLARA, etc.).
  • Support Product Owners in communicating software status, issues, risks, and opportunities to leadership, program stakeholders, and external customers.
  • Partner with other Platform and Enablement teams across PW to ensure F135 digital requirements are well understood and supported by foundational digital capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of computer science, software engineering, or program management experience; or an Advanced Degree with 10 years of equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with software engineering, DevOps, or generating digital solutions.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading agile teams or teams of teams.
  • Proficiency using Jira and Confluence as effective project management tools.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools restricted to individuals who possess U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and IT/DT departments on multi-disciplinary issues.
  • Previous experience guiding teams to generate outcome-oriented objectives and decompose them into actionable work.
  • Qualified as an RTX CORE Champion or higher.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to document and communicate software engineering approaches, with a proven ability to influence others.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
