About the role

The Associate Director of EHS - Strategic Projects will collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure EHS is integrated into the design and engineering phase of the North Carolina site from inception to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Think strategically and ensure deliverables align with broader organization goals.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and enforce compliance.
  • Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to represent EHS objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to direct staff.
  • Present EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
  • Manage projects and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (EHS related, Science, Engineering) or Master’s Degree (EHS related, Science, Engineering) with 10+ years of EHS related experience.
  • Experience implementing EHS regulations, conducting incident investigations, interacting with regulatory agencies, and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to plan against business targets, review and approve plans, and balance resources.
  • Ability to define scope and magnitude of problems, provide rapid assessments, coordinate responses, and develop procedures to minimize reoccurrences.
  • Effective listening, building/maintaining relationships, resolving conflicts, making decisions, influencing outcomes, and negotiating.
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing environments, major capital projects, and Greenfield sites.
  • Professional certifications: Project management preferred, CSP, CIH preferred.
  • EHS experience in manufacturing/R&D environments is preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

$141,500 - $268,500 USD
