About the role
The Associate Director of EHS - Strategic Projects will collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure EHS is integrated into the design and engineering phase of the North Carolina site from inception to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Think strategically and ensure deliverables align with broader organization goals.
- Monitor regulatory requirements and enforce compliance.
- Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Manage cross-functional teams to represent EHS objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to direct staff.
- Present EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
- Manage projects and programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (EHS related, Science, Engineering) or Master’s Degree (EHS related, Science, Engineering) with 10+ years of EHS related experience.
- Experience implementing EHS regulations, conducting incident investigations, interacting with regulatory agencies, and managing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to plan against business targets, review and approve plans, and balance resources.
- Ability to define scope and magnitude of problems, provide rapid assessments, coordinate responses, and develop procedures to minimize reoccurrences.
- Effective listening, building/maintaining relationships, resolving conflicts, making decisions, influencing outcomes, and negotiating.
- Experience in GMP manufacturing environments, major capital projects, and Greenfield sites.
- Professional certifications: Project management preferred, CSP, CIH preferred.
- EHS experience in manufacturing/R&D environments is preferred.

$141,500 - $268,500 USD
