Associate Director, Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship
About the role
The Associate Director will lead all Berkley Center programs, including venture accelerators, extensive skills development and thought leadership offerings, startup advising services, and community-building activities. They will develop and deploy programs that promote innovation and catalyze entrepreneurship at the University.
Responsibilities
- Strategically develop and implement Berkley Center programs
- Foster high-potential founders
- Expand the pipeline of investable ventures
- Improve outcomes for NYU startups
- Lead initiatives to support the growth and continuous improvement of the Berkley Center
- Seek and secure the resources necessary to fulfill the Center’s mission
- Serve as a liaison for building external relationships and internal partnerships that support the department’s success
- Develop and supervise the maintenance of a comprehensive database to track program impact and effectiveness
- Maintain oversight of university-wide startup alumni activity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least five years of experience facilitating the success of startups
- Successfully developed and managed programs with multiple stakeholders
- Proven community-building experience
- Ability to provide hands-on support and strategic guidance to early-stage ventures
- Deep understanding of the new venture creation process
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- The ability to conduct workshops on key startup concepts
- Familiarity with CRM and project management software

Benefits
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $105,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
Pay
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $105,000.00.
