Responsibilities
- Ensure all students are educated according to their IEPs
- Observe classrooms regularly, both formally and informally
- Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings
- Participate in Regional activities, including a weekly Director’s Meeting
- Attend and participate in monthly Goal Review with Supervisor
- Report facility issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution
- Communicate with parents in person, by phone, and through newsletters
- Involvement in regular parent education events
- Ensure compliance with state licensing policies
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Perform staff supervision including Goal Reviews monthly
- Ensure staff follow school and company policies
- Maintain and update records including financial, state licensing, student, and employee files
- Communicate regularly with supervisors to ensure support availability
- Identify staff and program needs and obtain professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Credentials in Education or similar field
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Extensive experience with students with serious emotional disabilities preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
- Willingness to undergo a background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs
- Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges
- Skill in managing fine motor tasks
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily
- Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students
- Ability to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations
