Associate Director, Agriculture Finance
About the role
The Associate Director, Agriculture Finance will provide sophisticated business, financial, and economic expertise to address conservation challenges. They will lead key projects and direct strategies within the global agriculture finance initiative, collaborating with TNC global teams, field teams, UNEP, WEF, and other partner organizations.
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Agriculture Finance to build the new global initiative, drawing from the success of IFACC and CCAT in Latin America.
- Collaborate with TNC global teams, the TNC field teams, UNEP, WEF, and other partner organizations to design and implement the new global agriculture finance initiative in support of TNC’s 2030 goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience in a private sector environment, such as management consulting and investment banking, or with a leading conservation organization or government entity, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing and implementing complex projects and strategic initiatives in an unstructured environment.
- Experience leading and managing large scale projects, including working with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements.
Qualifications
- Experience working with sustainability and finance issues in the agribusiness sector.
- Experience working in or with companies, lenders, and investors in the agribusiness sector.
Skills
- Outstanding analytical and project management capabilities.
- Superior written and oral communications.

Pay
This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $120,000 to $160,000 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
Schedule
The position is a 3-year, term-limited position, with opportunities for extension or conversion to a permanent position based on performance and funding availability.
