About the role
Lifeworks is a nonprofit human service agency that provides adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live engaged and meaningful lives. The Associate Director will coordinate, develop, and implement integrated employment services for individuals served by Lifeworks Employment Services and ensure the quality of programming within the agency.
Responsibilities
- Promotes optimal health for individuals through routine, preventive, and emergency health care and clinical services.
- Safeguards and enhances the rights of individuals in the program and promotes individuals as capable, valued, and accepted members of the community.
- Complies with all principles of Human Rights, D.P.P.C., Department of Developmental Services, the Division of Medical Assistance, and all other applicable funding regulations as adhered to by Lifeworks.

- Maintains effective communication with residential providers, families, other support providers, and funding sources.
- Coordinates the scheduling of daily and weekly staff assignments.
- Coordinates and plans with staff, daily activities, transportation to and from job sites as well as coaching individuals at job sites.
- Coordinates with the Director for the intake of referrals.
- Maintains accurate written and electronic records for individuals served for the purpose of program evaluation, billing etc.
- Oversees and assists with the preparation and implementation of Individual Support Plans for employees funded by the Department of Developmental Services.
- Works closely with the DDS Case Management Team Service Coordinators.
- Assists the Director in long-term and short-term planning development, organization, and evaluation of services and in the daily operation of program.
- Oversees the coordination of scheduling of substitute staff for the program.
- Implements Quality Enhancement standards within the program.
- Other duties and/or assignments to work/program locations based on the needs of the company.
Requirements
- Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of three years related experience, with at least two years of supervisory experience
- Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
- Valid Driver's License required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
