Associate Digital Platform Producer, MS NOW Digital

About the role

Associate Digital Platforms Producer to join MS NOW, covering the weekend primetime shift. This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.

Responsibilities

• Work across MS NOW platforms including linear, digital, streaming and direct to consumer to create and curate content that aligns with the brand identity of MS NOW
• Write eye-catching and accurate headlines that spark engagement
• Curate MS NOW’s homepage and app with a lively, newsworthy mix of content
• Help produce MS NOW’s flagship daily newsletter, MS NOW Daily
• Write and send engaging breaking news and opinion alerts for mobile audiences
• Distribute content across partner platforms like Apple News, SmartNews and Flipboard
• A/B test headlines and story packaging on MS.now
• Monitor analytics to inform programming decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years production or editorial experience

Skills

• Thorough knowledge of current events, U.S. politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
• Sound journalistic judgment
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
• Experience working in digital publishing, preferably for a news organization, with knowledge of what works and doesn’t for different platforms

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000

Schedule

Weekend shift covering afternoons and evenings, either Wed‑Sun or Fri‑Tues; must be willing to work in Washington, D.C. or New York, NY.
