About the role

As a key member of the national development team, you will support the Senior Manager, Development Operations, in ensuring that the entire Development team operates at the highest level of effectiveness. You will help coordinate department functions, including gift and list management, prospect moves data management, and reporting. In partnership with the Senior Manager, Development Operations, you will work closely with the Information Technology department to ensure all systems function optimally and liaise with the Finance department to ensure all income is being recorded and reconciled across our systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily gift recording, acknowledgments, and recurring reporting, in partnership with Fiscal and the Senior Manager for Development Operations
  • Manage constituent and gift quality control through dynamic reporting and team training to reinforce accurate data entry
  • Maintain and organize updated financial documents and attachments in Google Drive and Salesforce
  • Prepare monthly invoices, payment requests, and other documents for approval and submission to Fiscal
  • May assist in assembling letters of interest, grant proposals, reports, budgets, and other documentation to respond to donor guidelines
  • Assisting with special events as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and manage a database with confidential information; prior experience with Salesforce or other CRMs desirable
  • Exceptional organizational and attention to detail, and strong follow-through
  • Strong writing, editing, note-taking, and copy-editing skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and on phone
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment, working both independently and as a team member
  • Experience with or ability to learn Google Apps for Business (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, etc.) and Slack
  • Prior administrative, non-profit and/or development experience desirable, but not required

Skills

  • Proficiency in Google Apps for Business (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, etc.)

Pay

The salary for this role is $55,000 with a range between $50,000- $55,000 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
