Position Summary

Join Walmart as an Associate Designer of Cut & Sew Knits and play a key role in bringing our Women’s Private OPP Brand vision to life. In this position, you’ll contribute to the design and development of polished, trend-right collections that resonate with and inspire our customers.

What you'll do

  • Help design and develop seasonal collections for Women’s Private OPP Brands from concept to final product.
  • Research fashion trends and market inspiration to create mood boards and design concepts.
  • Assist with Miro Boards, Raspberry AI, sketches, fabric selection, sample prep, and fittings to bring new ideas to life.
  • Work with our cross functional team members: design, merchandising, product development, technical design, and quality assurance teams to ensure products align with brand vision and customer needs.
  • Support presentations, line reviews, and key milestone meetings.
  • Keep design files, samples, and development documents organized throughout the process.
  • Communicate daily with our supplier / vendor partners to ensure alignment throughout the seasonal development process.

What you'll bring

  • A strong sense of women’s fashion trends and an eye for elevated design.
  • A creative, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Skilled in Miro, Raspberry AI, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, PLM - Centric and Miro experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of fashion design experience, ideally in women’s apparel or contemporary fashion.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while following direction and guidance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, textile design, or related area and 1 year’s experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area.
  • Option 2: 3 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to translate trends into commercial designs.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of fabric sourcing and garment production processes.
