Position Summary
Join Walmart as an Associate Designer of Cut & Sew Knits and play a key role in bringing our Women’s Private OPP Brand vision to life. In this position, you’ll contribute to the design and development of polished, trend-right collections that resonate with and inspire our customers.
What you'll do
- Help design and develop seasonal collections for Women’s Private OPP Brands from concept to final product.
- Research fashion trends and market inspiration to create mood boards and design concepts.
- Assist with Miro Boards, Raspberry AI, sketches, fabric selection, sample prep, and fittings to bring new ideas to life.
- Work with our cross functional team members: design, merchandising, product development, technical design, and quality assurance teams to ensure products align with brand vision and customer needs.
- Support presentations, line reviews, and key milestone meetings.
- Keep design files, samples, and development documents organized throughout the process.
- Communicate daily with our supplier / vendor partners to ensure alignment throughout the seasonal development process.
What you'll bring
- A strong sense of women’s fashion trends and an eye for elevated design.
- A creative, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Skilled in Miro, Raspberry AI, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, PLM - Centric and Miro experience is a plus.
- 2+ years of fashion design experience, ideally in women’s apparel or contemporary fashion.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while following direction and guidance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, textile design, or related area and 1 year’s experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area.
- Option 2: 3 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to translate trends into commercial designs.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of fabric sourcing and garment production processes.
