About the role

The new College of Community Engagement and Professions (CCEP) is seeking an energetic, visionary scholar to serve as the Associate Dean & Head of School of the School of Information Studies (SOIS), the iSchool at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM).

Responsibilities

• Build and support an inclusive and supportive environment for teaching, learning, scholarship, and service.
• Work as a member of the CCEP Dean’s leadership team to bring to life the progressive vision for the new college.
• Collaborate with the SOIS faculty and staff to manage day-to-day operations in the school.

Requirements

• Energetic, visionary scholar with experience in library science and information technology.
• Experience leading academic institutions or similar organizations.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Library Science or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in product management or web services.

Skills

• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
• Experience with educational technology and digital libraries.
