About the role
The University of Rhode Island’s College of Nursing, a nationally recognized leader in nursing education, research, and community engagement, is seeking an Associate Dean for Graduate Programs. This senior leadership position is a member of the College Administrative Leadership Team and is based in Providence, Rhode Island. The Associate Dean will provide strategic direction and oversight for the college’s graduate nursing programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, planning, analysis, and administration of graduate programs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance graduate education, research, and community engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulations relevant to graduate nursing education.
- Supervise and mentor faculty and staff involved in graduate program delivery.
- Represent the College of Nursing in university‑wide administrative and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated achievement in teaching, scholarship, and service commensurate with a Professor rank at URI, with eligibility for tenure.
- Graduate‑level teaching experience.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in collaborative and supervisory roles.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulations for graduate nursing education.
Pay
Salary range: $215,000 – $225,000 USD.
