We are seeking a talented Associate Data Scientist to join the Marketing Technology team within GSSO. This role focuses on building AI-powered solutions that accelerate Sales and Marketing productivity, partnering with Product Owners, engineers, and data scientists to transform prospecting for Gartner's 7,000+ sales associates.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Large Language Model (LLM)-based agents that synthesize information and automate business workflows.
  • Apply NLP and Generative AI techniques to derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.
  • Design, test, and optimize prompts, retrieval strategies, and agent workflows to improve AI performance and scalability.
  • Build recommendation solutions, such as prospect interest prediction and personalized outreach recommendations, to enhance prospecting effectiveness.
  • Rapidly prototype AI capabilities, evaluate business impact, and help transition successful pilots into production.
  • Partner with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and engineers to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
  • Stay current on advancements in machine learning, Generative AI, and agentic systems, bringing new ideas and best practices to the team.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience applying data science and machine learning techniques through professional work, internships, or research.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, statistical analysis, and databases.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset, with a strong interest in Generative AI and machine learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and connect solutions to business outcomes.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval techniques, model evaluation, or agent orchestration is a plus.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team player.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks end-to-end and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and an innovative mindset.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $118,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
