About the role

We’re seeking someone to join our Data Governance & AI Non-Financial Risk group as an Associate to work as part of the Data Quality team. This role functions as a PMO analyst supporting data governance committees, regulatory engagement, and execution tracking across the firmwide data governance and data quality program initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive preparation for key governance forums, including engagement with key stakeholders, creation, consolidation, and vetting of materials, documenting and minuting meeting details, and management/curation of backlog agenda items, actions, and decisions
  • Support key Project Management processes, like planning, tracking, reporting, and RAID management/escalation
  • Support regulatory exams, including tracking requests, deliverables, dependencies, timelines, and follow-up actions
  • Track data quality remediation issues, action plans, and closure evidence, including milestones, owners, dependencies, and closure status
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops on data governance practices

Requirements

  • Strong PMO and Program Management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering high quality work and ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment
  • Foundational understanding of data quality concepts (e.g., data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and controls) and how they are applied within a governance or regulatory context
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Familiarity with JIRA beneficial

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience providing support for regulatory engagements and related governance initiatives by tracking requests, deliverables, dependencies, and remediation commitments

Skills

  • Strong PowerPoint skills and executive level deck creation

Pay

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75,000 and $95,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
