About the role
The Southeastern Museums Conference is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for managing the organization's marketing efforts, including social media management, event promotion, and content creation.Responsibilities
- Manage social media accounts for the organization, including content creation and scheduling.
- Promote events and initiatives through various channels such as email newsletters, press releases, and partnerships.
- Create and maintain the organization’s website and online presence.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in marketing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with social media management platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Passion for museums and cultural organizations.
Skills
- Strong writing and editing skills.

- Experience with video production and editing software.
