Associate Curator

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of innovative educational programs for K-12 students and teachers, focusing on enhancing art appreciation and critical thinking skills. This role will work closely with educators, artists, and community partners to design engaging curriculum and facilitate interactive workshops.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive educational programs for K-12 students and teachers.
• Collaborate with educators, artists, and community partners to design and deliver engaging curriculum and workshops.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through data collection and feedback from participants.
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, materials procurement, and participant registration.
• Stay updated on best practices in education and art pedagogy.
• Represent the organization at conferences and networking events.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Art Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in educational programming for K-12 students and teachers.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and community partnerships.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Passion for art and education.
• Experience with technology integration in teaching.
• Knowledge of art history and theory.
• Ability to write grants and secure funding.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with online learning platforms and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Schedule
