About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Creative Director, Copy. This role requires a proven leader with a passion for health advertising and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The role demands an ability to lead teams rather than manage—entailing mentorship, inspiring confidence when the team is “up against it” by solving problems before they negatively impact the team or the work, taking the lead in times of challenge, maintaining the “big picture” while ensuring the team never loses sight of the details, and holding the entire team accountable for agency hygiene and creative excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of copywriters, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest quality of work.
  • Develop original and compelling creative concepts that are strategically sound and meet client objectives.
  • Collaborate with art directors, account managers, and strategists to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the execution of creative projects, ensuring that they are on time and within budget.
  • Present creative work to clients, effectively communicating the strategic rationale and creative vision.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in new business pitches, contributing to the development of winning proposals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Manage team workload and resource allocation.
  • Champion creative excellence and agency hygiene.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems, mitigating negative impact on the team and work.
  • Demonstrate leadership in challenging situations, inspiring confidence and providing direction.
  • Maintain a "big picture" perspective while ensuring attention to detail within the team.
  • Hold the team accountable for delivering high-quality work that meets agency standards.
  • Contribute to agency growth and development through strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • 10 years experience in copywriting, concepting, and developing creative campaigns in the healthcare advertising industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor creative teams.
  • Deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present creative work effectively to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits
