About the role
The Associate Creative Director (ACD), Art is a hands-on creative leader responsible for developing bold, strategically grounded, visually compelling brand communications across multiple agency accounts. This role partners closely with Creative Directors, Copywriters, Art Directors, Designers, cross-functional brands teams to bring integrated ideas to life across a wide range of media and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a role model for RevHealth’s Agency Vision and Values, helping foster a creative culture rooted in curiosity, accountability, collaboration, and high standards
- Lead creative development across multiple brands and clients, ensuring delivery of strategic, high-quality, and visually compelling solutions
- Set and uphold high creative standards through the quality of your own work, mentorship, collaboration, and creative leadership
- Develop and direct concepts for advertising, promotional, and engagement campaigns across print, digital, experiential, video, websites, apps, and emerging media
- Take a leadership role on brands and projects, partnering closely with account, strategy, and medical teams to shape creative strategy and execution
- Lead internal creative meetings to align teams on project demands, brand objectives, and deliverables
- Uphold brand standards and ensure all creative materials meet or exceed agency and client expectations
- Collaborate with fellow ACDs and Creative Directors to manage workflow across the department and contribute to agency-wide strategic initiatives
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior and mid-level creatives, freelancers, and art directors, fostering growth, confidence, and expertise
- Constructively challenge and inspire others throughout the ideation and creative development process
- Utilize market research, insights, and data to inform creative recommendations and tactical execution
- Champion the smart use of AI, emerging technologies, and creative tools to accelerate workflows, enhance visual exploration, and free teams to focus on concept, craft, and execution
- Build strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients, balancing encouragement, collaboration, and creative rigor
- Lead and participate in client workshops, concept development sessions, and strategic brand exercises
- Present creative concepts with clear, compelling storytelling that takes clients on a journey and effectively communicates the rationale behind the work
- Serve as a creative lead on new business initiatives and pitch presentations, helping grow agency relationships and identify opportunities for expansion
- Attend client meetings, workshops, and industry events to strengthen partnerships and elevate the agency’s creative profile
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of agency operations, commercial objectives, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful project delivery
- Stay current on industry trends, creative innovation, emerging technologies, design tools, healthcare communications best practices, and evolving audience behaviors
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a healthcare advertising or communications agency
- 4+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong design skills, artistic judgment, and conceptual thinking abilities
- Proven ability to lead brands and deliver innovative, strategically grounded creative solutions
- Experience mentoring and developing creative talent in a collaborative environment
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly communicate creative vision and ideas
- Strong understanding of omnichannel communications, including video, digital, social, websites, apps, print, and immersive experiences
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Demonstrated success launching and supporting healthcare or pharmaceutical brands
- Strong understanding of branding, healthcare communications, and the regulatory landscape unique to the pharmaceutical industry
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for exploring new creative opportunities and improving ways of working
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in creative software and digital tools
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Macintosh operating systems required
