About the role
As Boldt’s Associate Counsel (Contracts), you’ll provide 100% transactional support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and project-based agreements (no litigation), partnering closely with the business to solve real-time deal and execution needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide 100% transactional support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and project-based agreements (no litigation).
- Partner closely with the business to solve real-time deal and execution needs.
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 7-10+ years of experience focused primarily on contract drafting and negotiation (preferably in construction, engineering, infrastructure or related commercial environment).
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing contracts independently and working directly with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with construction contracting concepts such as indemnity, insurance, flow-down provisions, delay, change management, and risk allocation.
- Experience using AI-enabled contract review tools, CLMs, or other legal technology platforms.
- Interest in legal operations, process design, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Practical, solutions-oriented judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume contracting environment.
- Innovative, tech-forward mindset with curiosity and comfort using AI and emerging legal tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with non-legal professionals.
- Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage competing priorities.

Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $135,000 - $205,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
