Associate Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction and commercial agreements.
• Support the development and negotiation of joint venture, partnership, and other corporate agreements.
• Advise business leaders on legal, operational, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and improve legal processes across the organization.
• Affiliate with dispute resolution, claims management, and oversight of outside counsel.
• Partner closely with project teams to provide practical legal guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with mediation, litigation strategy, and other legal proceedings as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. degree required.
• Licensed to practice law in New York and in good standing.
• 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm, government, or in-house environment.
• Experience with public contracting, infrastructure projects, procurement, or bidding processes strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience advising clients or business stakeholders on complex legal matters.
• Strong understanding of balancing legal risk with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Government or public-sector infrastructure experience is preferred.
