Essential Functions
- Partner with the General Counsel across the full range of legal matters affecting FT Partners' business and operations
- Draft, review, negotiate, and revise investment banking engagement letters and related investment agreements
- Draft, review, and revise employment agreements, offer letters, and related templates
- Review and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, SaaS and software licensing agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, and other vendor contracts
- Build and maintain contract playbooks (standard positions, approved fallbacks, alternative clause libraries) and integrate them into the firm's legal AI workflows
- Improve the firm's standard agreement templates and corporate policies and procedures
- Assist with managing paralegals and legal interns
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably at a major national law firm
- Exceptional drafting, analytical, and editing skills
- Demonstrated fluency with legal AI tools and a track record of integrating AI into document work flows
- Admitted to the bar in good standing
- A strong work ethic and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
- U.S. work authorization required. FT Partners will not sponsor applicants for work visas at application or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in commercial and contract law
- Exposure to financial services, FinTech, or investment banking
- Familiarity with M&A and capital markets
- Prior in-house experience at a financial institution or technology company
