Associate Corporate Counsel - Early Careers

Our legal teams support the innovators driving the growth and success of EchoStar and its subsidiaries. From identifying and supporting a variety of corporate legal matters to negotiating the industry’s evolving legal landscape, our corporate counselors bring their own kind of invention to effect positive change across the company.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including commercial vendor contracts, technology licensing, media rights, network infrastructure agreements, and digital advertising deals.
- Partner directly with internal business, operational, and technical teams (such as Content Acquisition, Wireless Engineering, Media Sales, and IT) to align legal strategy with business goals.
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal guidance on contract interpretation, dispute avoidance, data privacy, consumer privacy, and intellectual property matters under the supervision of senior legal counsel.
- Utilize modern legal operations tools—including legal AI software, templates, and playbooks—to streamline contract review workflows and enhance team efficiency.
- Assist senior attorneys with complex transactional, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
Skills
- Strong foundational skills in legal research, contract drafting, and analytical problem-solving.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal issues to non-lawyer stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interest in technology, telecommunications, digital media, or in-house corporate practice.

Pay
$120,000.00/Year - $140,000.00/Year
