Associate Content Creator, FloTrack

About the Role

FloSports is seeking an associate content creator to lead the day-to-day content strategy and execution for FloTrack. This hands-on role requires a deep understanding of track and field/running disciplines, with the ability to transform FloSports' live event portfolio into engaging content that grows audiences, creates excitement, and drives subscriptions. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert familiar with players, teams, programs, recruiting, rivalries, and storylines that matter to fans. They should also excel in creating social content, particularly around live sports, and be comfortable identifying, clipping, and publishing key moments in real time.

Responsibilities

• Create content plans around live programming and storylines to drive viewership and subscription signups.
• Identify narratives, rivalries, players, and stakes to make upcoming events must-watch.
• Actively cover live games and events in real time by identifying key moments, clipping broadcasts, and publishing content across social platforms.
• Maximize FloSports’ live event library by repackaging full-game replays into highlights, short-form clips, athlete features, and compilations.
• Manage social channels, including publishing, programming, and editorial decisions.
• Build content strategies that connect with both highly engaged fans and broader audiences.
• Use performance data and audience insights to understand engagement, viewership, and subscription drivers.
• Explore opportunities to increase social and video monetization while prioritizing audience growth and subscription acquisition.
• Assign and coordinate work with freelancers, contributors, photographers, and other external resources.
• Collaborate with marketing, design, production, rights, sales, and other FloSports teams on major events and initiatives.
• Support priority events and content initiatives across other FloSports verticals.
• Maintain strong editorial judgment, accuracy, and quality across all published content.
• Travel to selected events for on-site content creation, live coverage support, and access-driven storytelling.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep knowledge of track and field/running disciplines, including teams, athletes, programs, events, recruiting, culture, and storylines.
• Strong experience creating social-first sports content, especially short-form video and real-time event coverage.
• Ability to identify and quickly turn compelling live moments into engaging social content.
• Understanding of building anticipation, narratives, and stakes around live sports.
• Experience managing social channels and making editorial/programming decisions.
• Strong video instincts, including what makes a clip or highlight perform well.
• Proficiency in using analytics to inform content performance and strategy.
• Understanding of how social and digital content drives audience growth, viewership, and subscriptions.
• Familiarity with social and video monetization strategies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, live-events-driven environment, including nights and weekends.
• Comfort with traveling for events and producing on-site content.
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of owning projects from idea to execution.
• Strong collaborator who works effectively across teams without direct reports.
