Bolton’s Investment Consulting Group (ICG) seeks an Associate Consultant to support the delivery of high-quality investment consulting services to a diverse client base. This exempt role reports to a Vice President and offers a collaborative, professional environment with opportunities for continued growth and development.
About the role
The Associate Consultant is a key member of the ICG team, managing day-to-day client activities, participating in client meetings, and supporting investment-related projects under the direction of a primary consultant. The role develops into the lead on select client relationships and contributes to business development efforts, delivering thoughtful, data-driven investment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day tasks for assigned clients, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and responsiveness to client needs.
- Attend client meetings and participate in discussions, working alongside lead consultants.
- Prepare and review client materials, analyses, reports, and presentations related to investment strategy, performance, and monitoring.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support ongoing client service and project execution.
- Participate in investment-related projects, including research, analysis, and special initiatives.
- Support portfolio analysis, performance monitoring, manager evaluations, and investment strategy development.
- Stay current on capital markets, investment products, and industry trends to inform client recommendations and internal discussions.
- Contribute to business development by preparing proposals, presentations, and participating in prospect meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with consultants, analysts, and other ICG team members.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvement, and best practices within the Investment Consulting Group.
Requirements
- Series 65 license (required).
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant investment, consulting, or financial services experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-focused, deadline-driven environment.
- Pursuit of CFA, CAIA, or MBA (preferred).
- Prior experience in an investment consulting or advisory firm environment (preferred).
- Experience working directly with institutional clients (preferred).
- Ability to travel up to 15% for client meetings, business development, and firm initiatives.

Pay
$105,000 – $135,000 per year.
