About the role

BGBx Consulting | Hayden is excited to recruit our next cohort of Associates to start on August 3, 2027. This role focuses on the life sciences industry, solving problems that support biopharma manufacturers to unlock markets and help patients achieve access to medicines. We are a high-impact, collaborative strategy consulting firm specializing in pricing, reimbursement, patient support services, and other strategic issues that shape patient access to innovative therapies. Associates will work across a broad range of therapeutic areas, with growing expertise and project opportunities in oncology and rare disease.

Responsibilities

  • Research & Analytics:
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using SQL, Excel, and secondary research to support client engagements.
    • Support primary market research, including discussion guide development, data collection, and synthesis of findings.
    • Leverage BGBx Consulting | Hayden tools, methodologies, and templates to produce accurate, high-quality analyses.
  • Interpretation & Strategy:
    • Synthesize research and analytical outputs into clear insights aligned with project hypotheses and client objectives.
    • Identify trends, implications, and business opportunities through structured analysis.
    • Build knowledge of the life sciences, biopharma, and market access landscape to strengthen analyses and recommendations.
  • Content Development:
    • Develop clear, polished, and quality-checked client presentations and other external deliverables.
    • Create supporting internal materials, including workbooks, slide outlines, trackers, and other project documentation.
    • Incorporate feedback to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of work products.
  • Driving Results:
    • Deliver assigned workstreams on time while balancing priorities across multiple projects.
    • Perform thorough quality control of analyses and deliverables prior to submission.
    • Communicate progress proactively and escalate risks or challenges as appropriate.
  • Communication & Delivery:
    • Present findings and analytical conclusions clearly in internal meetings.
    • Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables.
    • Contribute actively to team discussions by asking thoughtful questions and sharing insights.
  • Collaboration & Influence:
    • Build positive working relationships across project teams.
    • Take ownership of professional development by seeking, applying, and acting on feedback.
    • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team environment and support established team ways of working.
    • Assist with recruiting efforts and contribute to internal committees (DEI&A, Social, Service, and Women's Leadership Alliance).

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Strong academic record (GPA of 3.5+ preferred; applicants with demonstrated improvement over time are encouraged to apply).
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher from a 4-year institution.
  • Interest in learning about biopharma, U.S. healthcare systems, and the life sciences industry.
  • Innate curiosity to learn and grow, with a passion for solving quantitative and qualitative problems creatively.
  • Team-oriented individual comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, practice, and lead data analyses using SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as needed (0-10% on average).
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule (Tues/Wed/Thurs in office; Mon/Fri remote).

Pay

Your expected annual compensation for this level for base and bonus is between $88,000 to $92,000. Compensation decisions consider individual skills, job performance, organization and industry demand, experience level, training, and geographic location.
