Associate Construction Project Manager - Michels Power, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental policies
  • Assist Project Manager(s) in managing projects under direct supervision
  • Support development and tracking of project performance metrics, budgets, and cost controls
  • Aid in cost tracking, labor tracking, scheduling, and reporting
  • Coverage of coordination with field supervision, subcontractors, engineers, vendors, and clients
  • Support material procurement, submittals, and equipment tracking
  • Aid in subcontractor coordination and contract compliance
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including billing, cost reporting, and scheduling records
  • Support federal/state reporting and project correspondence as required
  • Participation in construction meetings and contribution to project coordination
  • Aid in proposal preparation, estimates, and quantity take-offs
  • Provide onsite administrative and project support for long-term assignments
  • Aid in change management, productivity tracking, and project closeout activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience (construction, industrial, or electrical preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel nationwide and commit to long-term onsite projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (experience with construction/project software is a plus)
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Combination of office and active construction site environments
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds
  • Work may involve fast-paced conditions with frequent interruptions
  • Travel required, including extended onsite assignments
  • Field environments may include exposure to weather, equipment, and moderate to loud noise levels
