Associate Commissioning Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and commission automated material handling equipment at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and hardware issues using schematics and technical documentation.
  • Perform equipment testing, system validation, and commissioning.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Configure hardware and software components to meet customer specifications.
  • Conduct system performance testing and verify functional operation.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, documentation, and check sheets.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, customers, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Provide technical training and support to staff, contractors, and clients.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and procedures on all job sites.

Top Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills for automated systems.
  • Prior proven experience in hardware/software configuration, diagnostics, and repair.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%) and perform overtime as needed.
  • Safety-conscious mindset with experience working in cleanroom and industrial environments.

Education & Experience

  • A High School Diploma required.
  • An Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical or electrical technical experience; semiconductor industry experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC and PC-controlled systems, robotics, and reading electrical/mechanical schematics.
  • Familiarity with tools, industrial equipment, and safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Skills & Certifications

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Valid safety certifications and adherence to industry safety standards.
