Responsibilities
- Responsible for the initial review of newly on-boarded loans for upcoming taxes.
- Process requests for tax payment disbursements and record all tax payments accurately.
- Collaborate with the Asset Manager to address any escrow shortfalls that may affect tax payments.
- Create communications pertaining to tax disbursements.
- Determine monthly tax obligations based on received data.
- Create annual escrow account analyses and ensure follow-up on tax payments for non-escrowed loans.
- Ensure follow-up to confirm payment of taxes for loans not covered by an escrow account.
- Regularly update comments for discussion in monthly Critical Date Meetings.
- Participate in required training to maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Update collateral information in the system of record as needed.
- Manage, prepare, and process borrower refunds resulting from escrow surpluses or reimbursements.
Requirements
- BA degree required.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, with a clear understanding of different property types, as well as tax processing and monitoring practices.
- Demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a dynamic setting.
- Organizational and administrative skills that reflect attention to detail and the ability to prioritize amidst competing demands.
- Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy.
- Handling workload and special projects efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Qualifications
