About the role
The Associate Producer will quote, present, and bind new and renewal 1-2 truck commercial auto accounts, generate new business through outbound prospecting, referrals, and inbound leads, cross-sell additional solutions, and serve as the primary contact for small fleet accounts.
Responsibilities
- Quote, present, and bind new and renewal 1-2 truck commercial auto accounts
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting, referrals, and inbound leads
- Cross-sell additional solutions, including Non-Trucking Liability & Physical Damage, Workers’ Compensation (where applicable), Ancillary coverages & other business units (Fuel, Factoring, Equipment Finance)
- Serve as primary contact for small fleet accounts, handling service inquiries and renewals
- Maintain strong relationships through timely communication and follow-up
- Absolutely ensure accurate coverage placement aligned with client needs
- Maintain consistent daily outbound activity and pipeline development
- Demonstrate strong close ratios on inbound and referred opportunities
- Uphold high standards in underwriting accuracy and documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients, teammates, and carrier partners
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, insurance or business development
- Active state insurance producer license (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain coverage clearly and confidently
- Comfortable with high-volume calls, prospecting, and closing
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and eager to grow into a full Producer role
- Experience in commercial trucking insurance is a plus
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel up to 50%
