About the role
We are seeking an Associate, CLO Operations to support the day-to-day management and administration of collateralized loan obligation (CLO) portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate processing of transactions, compliance with deal terms, and timely reporting.
- Generate trade and security entries into portfolio management system (OMS SkyRoad) and VPM.
- Support processing from Trade date to Settle date for Syndicated Bank Loans (ClearPar).
- Liaise with firm custodians and prime brokers ensuring proper trading activity and settlement.
- Ensure KYC and Tax Documentation is completed.
- Process CLO Warehouse fund finance and cash management.
- Document and review Loan Closing packages and deal Credit Agreements.
- Enhance Security Master classifications regarding investments/credits.
- Assist in CLO audit queries for internal audit (SOC Type-1), external CLO audit, and regulatory reports (ESMA Reporting, SFTR Reporting).
- Interact daily with internal and external groups to troubleshoot any booking and/or position discrepancies.
Requirements
- Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or business related field.
- 2-6 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably within alternative asset management (Private/Public Credit, Private Equity, Hedge, etc).
- Strong understanding of fixed income products (bonds and ABS securities preferred) and bank loans.
- Experience generating reports for Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO’s), loan operations, and reconciling trustee reports.
- Syndicated Loan Closing familiarity of loan settlement and loan documentation (LMA / LSTA, knowledge of lender / tax status applied in loan transfer documentation).
- Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of various operations and accounting related systems. Experience using a Security Master preferred.
- Experience using Indus Valley Partners (IVP) products, FIS VPM accounting system, S&P-MarkitWSO or Bloomberg a plus.
