Responsibilities
- Independently manage only workers' compensation claims by investigating and approving related medical treatment.
- Handle all technical aspects of claims including coverage, medical management, file management, subrogation, reserving and settlement.
- Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Act and Rules and Regulations in the jurisdictions assigned.
- Interprets medical records applying medical terminology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 0-2 years’ experience in workers’ compensation
- Possess effective interpersonal, analytical and negotiations skills.
- Demonstrate well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates evidence of self-motivation and the ability to effectively multi-task.
- Interdepartmental collaboration and innovation with underwriting, loss control, business development and marketing
- Have or will secure a Property and Casualty License with 120 days of employment.
