About the role

This position is Full Time and will work 40 hours a week, Day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Guides classroom activities and implements academic curriculum in accordance with licensing and NAEYC Accreditation standards.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the program in a prepared environment that challenges each child to reach his/her fullest potential in each area.

Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Required coursework/training includes 12 semester units of course work in Early Childhood Education including all CORE classes plus Infant and Toddler Development units.
  • CORE Units in Early Childhood Education: Child/Human growth and development, Introduction to Curriculum, The Child, Family & Community - 3 Units of Infant/Toddler Development.
  • Upon hire: Candidates with less than 2 years experience are required to have a Child Development Associate (CDA), National Early Childhood credential, or Minimum of 6 college credits in early childhood education (Facility Managed).
  • Participation in a degree seeking program or internship where the major is in Childhood Education or relevant field shall be credited as experience.
  • Associate’s degree level program candidates shall be credited 1 year experience and Bachelor’s degree level program candidates shall be credited 2 years experience.
  • 6 months 6 months

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training, CORE Units in Early Childhood Education, and experience requirements as outlined above.

Skills

  • Ability to guide classroom activities and implement academic curriculum.
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs.
  • Knowledge of Child/Human growth and development, Introduction to Curriculum, The Child, Family & Community, and Infant/Toddler Development.
