Associate Chemist
About the role
Join a leading food and dietary supplement testing laboratory and gain hands-on experience with a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates interested in chemistry, food science, or laboratory testing. You'll receive training on advanced instrumentation while supporting testing that helps ensure product quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical and wet chemistry testing on food, dietary supplements, and related products
- Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for testing
- Learn and operate instrumentation including HPLC, UPLC, and GC
- Conduct tests such as titrations, spectrophotometry, and other analytical techniques
- Document results and maintain accurate laboratory records
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Collaborate with scientists and laboratory team members to meet client timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related science
- Analytical chemistry coursework required
- Undergraduate research, lab coursework, or internship experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in learning advanced analytical instrumentation

Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.52 - $23.52/hr.

This is a Contract to Hire position.

This is a fully onsite position in Madison, WI.
