Associate - Cashier

About the role

At Joseph’s Classic Market, Cashiers are not just register operators but the final interaction customers have before leaving the store. This role is crucial in shaping how customers feel about their entire shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service that meets the Joseph’s Classic Market standard
• Weigh, scan, and accurately ring up products
• Accept various forms of payment and provide correct change
• Handle cash, credit, and other tender types with accuracy
• Bag products efficiently and safely
• Keep the register area clean and organized at all times
• Absorb other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and reading skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
• A passion for serving people

Physical & Work Environment

This role involves standing for prolonged periods, repetitive arm and hand movements, moving and lifting products, and continuous interaction with customers and fellow team members in a fast-paced retail environment.
