Position Summary

The Capital Solutions team at General Atlantic focuses on marketing the firm's global investment strategies to institutional and private wealth investors worldwide. The Private Wealth Capital Solutions team is seeking a high-caliber Associate to support financial advisor client coverage in New York.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Private Wealth Client Coverage regional leads to develop new, foster, and maintain relationships with financial advisors at leading private wealth management platforms (e.g., private banks and wirehouses), supporting fundraising across General Atlantic’s product suite.
  • Execute proactive outbound sales activity to both existing and prospective financial advisor allocators to educate them on General Atlantic’s strategies and drive new fundraising opportunities.
  • Aid in the management of territory coverage and financial advisor sales pipeline in a highly organized and data-driven manner, leveraging analytics to prioritize engagements, track progress, and optimize marketing efforts within assigned regions.
  • Conduct timely and detailed follow-up after advisor and client interactions, ensuring delivery of tailored materials and responses to information requests.
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality CRM records of contacts, activities, meeting notes, and pipeline as well as assist in the preparation of regular reports on financial advisor engagement, territory activity, and fundraising progress for Capital Solutions leadership.
  • Develop and maintain deep product and market expertise across General Atlantic’s investment capabilities and structures (including both private funds and evergreen vehicles), while communicating complex private markets and alternative investment concepts in a clear, concise manner to financial advisors and their end clients.
  • Effectively coordinate across internal teams and wealth platform partners to help organize roadshows, webinars, conferences, and advisor education events; managing planning, logistics, materials, and follow-up to maximize financial advisor participation and engagement.
  • Build and sustain ongoing connectivity with financial advisors through consistent phone and email touchpoints, helping to deepen relationships, address client service inquiries, and support product update and review calls in partnership with senior client coverage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; progress toward CFA and/or CAIA charters preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of investment product sales experience working with financial advisors at leading wealth management firms (wirehouses, private banks, RIAs or independent broker-dealers), ideally with experience in private market, alternative investment strategies and products.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment strategies, including familiarity with private market alternative asset classes and both private and evergreen fund structures (e.g., private funds, interval funds, BDCs, REITs, evergreen structures).
  • Excellent communication skills: presentation, written and interpersonal, with the professionalism and presence to represent General Atlantic and its capabilities to financial advisors and their end clients.
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadline and fundraising goals.

Pay

$135,000 – 155,000 base salary, with the exact amount offered driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience.

Schedule

Full-time position based in New York.
