About the role
Manage the product buying cycle for brands with lower impact and assist Buyer with managing buying cycle for higher magnitude brands.
Responsibilities
- Write purchase orders and develop monthly flows for product buys, including size curve balancing
- Assist in product line building with Buyers, Director and GMMs
- Evaluate market trends, sales analytics and consumer tracking to assist in assortment building
- Participate in vendor meetings with Buyers, Director, Buying and GMMs
- Evaluate product lines from new vendors, recommend whether to test brand in stores
- Accurately track orders working cross functionally with Logistics, Distribution and Merchandising
- Communicate buy plans with Buyer/Merchandisers
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in buying/merchandising
- College degree preferred
- Adept at retail math (sell thru, margin, inventory sales)
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Ability to utilize multiple software platforms
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong cross-functional skills
- Adept knowledge of fashion trends
