About the role
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for supply chain, operations, or procurement? Join our Chemicals & MRO Supply Chain team as an Associate Buyer and build a strong foundation in purchasing, supplier management, and inventory operations.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Create and process purchase orders based on forecasts and replenishment needs
- Track order confirmations, pricing, monitor delivery timelines, and follow up on ETAs
- Proactively identify and escalate supply risks (e.g., delays, lead time changes)
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm orders and shipment status
- Gather market updates and support issue resolution for routine discrepancies
- Run and analyze reports on open orders, past-due items, and inbound shipments
- Maintain trackers for chemical categories (critical, stable, commodity)
- Support supplier change notifications and documentation updates
- Coverage of required chemical documentation (SDS, CoA, specs, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal teams on testing and qualification progress
- Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Track sample shipments and maintain approval logs
- Convert requisitions into purchase orders
- Ensure accurate pricing, delivery, and receipt data
- Resolve routine receiving discrepancies
- Maintain accurate vendor and item master data in ERP systems
- Possess cross-functional collaboration with Production, Receiving, and Quality teams to support operational needs
- Contribute ideas to improve purchasing processes, data accuracy, and supplier performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Chemistry, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internships or co-ops strongly preferred)
Skills & Strengths
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Solid Excel skills (e.g., filters, pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communicator with strong written skills
- Analytical mindset with basic understanding of supply/demand concepts
- Comfortable learning new systems and tools

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $55,000 to $67,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including job related knowledge, skills and experience. The job role is eligible for a discretionary bonus that may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
