Associate Buyer

About the Role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Associate Buyer. This position is based at our Arden, NC location. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Responsibilities

• Manage open POs through confirmations for deliveries, updating ERPs, and managing orders through delivery
• Develop and maintain relationships within the Supply Chain Organization and Supplier Base
• Day-to-day communication with various stakeholders like planners, operations, and suppliers
• Timely resolution of ‘On Hold’ invoices for the various sites, working closely with site, suppliers, and IM team
• Participate and lead supplier negotiations
• Initiate and execute projects to achieve Cost Out/Savings and Productivity Targets
• Work with Senior Buyer in identifying sourcing issues, optimizing inventory investment, and supply chain interactions
• Process plant-wide requests for purchase and obtain quotes from suppliers as needed
• Fully support the strategy of the Senior Buyer and assist in the execution of the strategy
• Assist in vendor meetings, QBRs, and other interactions with vendors
• Update and maintain the Eaton supplier tooling database
• Coordinate with Suppliers for quote projects due to increased outsourcing efforts

Qualifications

• Two-Year Degree or 5 Years of Experience in Supply Chain
• Demonstrated ability to work either independently or in teams across plant and corporate entities
• Sound working knowledge of Purchasing/Materials
• Intermediate-level training in Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams software or equivalent experience

Position Criteria

• Previous experience in Materials, Planning, or Purchasing
• Previous experience with AS400 and Infor
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
