About the Team and Position
We are a team of highly enthusiastic, motivated, and driven individuals. In this role, your primary responsibilities include staying abreast of the used vehicle market, knowledge of in-lane and online auctions, reviewing vehicle condition reports, and displaying a solid understanding of vehicle reconditioning costs while acquiring inventory for Carvana.
This is a 100% on-site position (Monday through Friday).
Responsibilities
- Conduct reviews and analysis of vehicle condition reports to select the most desirable inventory for Carvana.
- Perform quality evaluations of vehicles to ensure accurate optioning during CR review.
- Understand reconditioning costs and the impact to a vehicle’s quality.
- Acquire vehicle inventory through online auctions.
- Assist with various individual or collaborative projects as needed and follow up after completion.
- Multi-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environment while always looking for ways to improve processes.
- Analyze market data and identify trends to mitigate risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, Supply Chain, or similar field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Direct experience with auto auctions as a used car buyer or in the estimating of damage to automobiles.
- Ability to think analytically and make report & process recommendations with proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to collaborate among multiple business units.
- Ability to confidently converse with and present to all levels of management within your team as well as cross-functionally.
