Associate Buyer

About the role

National Buying Services is dedicated to acquiring goods for ALDI customers. The team works to secure quality products at the lowest possible prices through various departments including Administration, Merchandising, Pricing, Quality Assurance, Analytics, and more. The Associate Buyer role supports the buying team and helps shape the product assortment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Buying Director and work closely with suppliers.
• Focus on merchandising and pricing while considering corporate responsibility regarding materials.
• Develop a wide range of products that meet or exceed quality standards.

Requirements

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• The ability to think critically and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ace in business or related field with an Associate Degree required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Pay

• Starting Wage: $28.75 per hour
• Wage Increases: Year 2 - $29.75 | Year 3 - $30.75 | Year 4 - $31.75

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Work Location: Batavia, IL
• This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, allowing remote work up to 3 days per week.
