Northmarq is a capital markets resource for commercial real estate investors, offering expertise in debt, equity, investment sales, loan servicing, and fund management. As an Associate Broker, you'll join a collaborative team focused on Retail Investment Sales in Tulsa.
Position Responsibilities
- Marketing to new and/or under-marketed clients, aiming to generate new business.
- Create and build your individual Business Plan, which includes relationship building and learning the business.
- Understand and prepare underwriting packages for investment real estate.
- Learn the real estate market and sub-markets of Tulsa, including interacting with various professionals like brokers, attorneys, property managers, title company employees, insurance agents, and others.
- Develop skills in deal structure, prospecting, and listing process.
- Manage the office's database, update it with recent sales, ownership, and contact information, and develop a knowledge base of local market conditions.
- Possess strong negotiation and influencing skills to resolve issues during deals.
- Work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Solve problems and find solutions to meet responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Investment Sales experience preferred.
- Demonstrated relationship building and sales skills.
- Negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to resolve issues.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting techniques, understanding of the financial characteristics of retail property types, and ability to advise clients in complex decision-making processes.
- A 4-year college degree, preferably in finance, marketing, real estate, business promotion, or general business, though any degree program will be considered.
- Ability to work independently and stay motivated.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.
- Current valid real estate license in the state where you will work, or willing to obtain one within the first 120 days of starting the program.
