Associate Broker

Responsibilities

• Reviews new and renewal business applications to confirm appropriate information for coverage placement.
• Conducts agency and carrier visits outside the physical location of the profit center.
• Performs principal brokerage work for complex E&S assignments, using independent decision making and discretion.
• Accepts or declines risks and determines placement with various carriers.
• Promotes policies and improves processes.
• Ensures quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings are made, and taxes are paid within applicable state laws.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active state insurance license.
• One (1) or more years of successful P&C insurance experience.

• Self-starter with commitment to customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to make independent decisions and use discretion.
• Proficiency in using independent decision-making tools and processes.
