About the role
The Associate Behavioral Health Counselor provides individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy to Mission Behavioral Health Department (BHD) clients and their child(ren) when applicable, assisting them in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes for recovery. Confidentiality of clients' information and records is maintained, and clients are guided in developing healthy coping skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy for Mission Behavioral Health Department (BHD) clients and child(ren) if applicable.
- Facilitate specific groups based on skills, training, need, and interest.
- Maintain clinical documentation and complete other administrative tasks required for competent care and daily business requirements.
- Work closely with the Behavioral Health Manager (BHM) to complete all required clinical hours and supervision required by DOH.
- Work with assigned clients/families and their care team, including case management, to ensure effective communication with client's support systems and treatment team.
- Attend individual and group supervision meetings as scheduled.
- Attend wrap, focus, staff, and other meetings assigned and scheduled.
- Participate in the Grace-based philosophy of ministry and the self-evaluation process.
- Attend and participate in all required Mission, Division, and Department meetings and training courses.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Participate in organizational meetings, training, and initiatives as required.
- Perform other duties assigned to support the Mission’s success.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling, or a related field required.
- Associate License through DOH which allows you to gain clinically supervised hours, supervised by a licensed mental health professional at the Mission.
- Be and remain in good standing to study and prepare for the LMHC, LICSW, LMFT or a related exam.
- Experience in social service organizations is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling, or a related field required.
- Associate License through DOH which allows you to gain clinically supervised hours, supervised by a licensed mental health professional at the Mission.

Pay
$34.54 per hour
Schedule
Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM
